Study on the efficacy of vet∙wave® in diagnosing otitis media in dogs

Diseases of the ear, otitis externa in particular, are widespread among dogs. These diseases can have serious consequences and evolve into even more severe conditions, such as otitis media, which can present neurological symptoms. Diagnosing otitis media can be complicated by various factors however, including difficulty in visualizing the eardrum and the fact that even when the eardrum is seen to be normal, the presence of otitis media cannot always be excluded. The tympanic function assessment techniques currently on the market either perform poorly in veterinary medicine or are very expensive and invasive. vet·wave® aids clinicians in making diagnosis by quickly and non-invasively measuring the state of tension of the eardrum and middle ear.
