Managing incoming light is a huge challenge in the design of digital sensors. Device sensitivity can easily be altered by reflected light and leaks, leading to issues with overexposure and faded im-ages. Firefly significantly reduces overexposure by using specially designed lenses and highly efficient image processing algorithms. The technology used to manage overexposure also allows full exploitation of high-resolution LEDs, ensuring that observed objects are always perfectly lit, with no unwanted effects. Finally, since the efficiency of sophisticated image processing algorithms depends on excellent depth perception and image sharpness, the Firefly is equipped with multilayer lenses made of glass, rather than plastic, which provide crystal clear images and outstanding focal depth.
