Audiology Day Veterinary Clinic City of Turin
This paper describes the second edition of Audiology Day held at the City of Turin Veterinary Clinic with the collaboration of Dr. Antonella Vercelli and her son, Luca Taraglio, post-graduate student in Veterinary Medicine. Audiology Day is a day dedicated to raising owners’awareness of the audiological pathologies that can affect our pets, pathologies that can be congenital/ inherited or complications of pathologies affecting the ears of our pets. Ear pathologies are complex pathologies that, if not treated well, can lead to both the veterinarian and the client (Logas and Maxwell, 2021). This is because otitis externa in particular, are among main reasons companion animals are taken to the vet (Neill et al, 2021) and whereby pathologies are multifactorial in etiology. Therefore, achieving good compliance with pet owners is essential, because they must be prepared to invest time in obtaining good results and keeping the problem under control in order to avoid complications that may also lead to loss of audiological functions.
